You will consult with Dr. Kanzic to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and discuss how Chiropractic Care can or cannot help . This initial visit is designed to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations as well as to to determine how chiropractic care can help you meet you goals.
Following consultation, a physical, orthopedic, neurological, and spinal examination will be performed. Reflexes, muscle strength, range of motion and posture are all a part of your chiropractic evaluation.
. X-rays reveals structural problems, such as loss or reversal of spinal curve(s),scoliosis, degeneration and osetoarthritis. Radiological studies ( x-rays) help the doctor to develop the most effective treatment plan for you, X-rays can also alert the doctor of a more serious spinal condition that warrants referral to another health care provider. Many individuals are amazed once they see their X-rays up close.
Once all information is collected and examinations completed, a return appointment will be scheduled for you, usually as soon as the next day. Dr. Kanzic will review your films and exam findings. She will outline the best treatment and wellness program for your needs. It is at this point that Dr. Kanzic can answer the following questions for you:
Treatment will include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, and rehabilitative exercise. This begins after you and the doctor have reviewed your films, exam, and discussed treatment options. The majority of structural problems ( spinal) require three phases of care. Acute care, strengthening and finally, stabilization.
Dr. Kanzic will suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire, our wellness team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
